Six members of the Environmental Issues Group visited Chester's Bumpers Lane recycling plant on 26 April 2007. The plant was shut down for operational reasons, but this allowed Brian Kendrick, the supervisor, to spend more time with us. We are very grateful to Brian for his patience when replying to our myriad of questions. In view of the relevance of waste recycling to all of us, a more extensive 'visit report' has been written.
